Inefficient use of layout space mades the page more difficult to scan.
Important and less important actions were treated in a similar visual style.
What we did:
Organized tools and content to make them easy to find, easy to digest.
Emphasized the “Create Event” action, since continual new events are critical to the ATND’s growth.
Removed unnecessary and confusing elements.
ATND is a simple way to organize an event online, and a favorite web service of the Japanese tech community. Born in the Media Technology Lab of Recruit, the project has been upgraded from a popular tech community tool to a standalone business for the mainstream market, in its latest incarnation, eventATND.
